THE TERMOLI JAZZ
The Termoli Jazz is Jazz. A festival that, like jazz, never treads the same way but it researches, updates and it always presentes news projects and musical languages. In his DNA there's a long tradition of events Concerter, Termoli Jazz Podium, Festival Adriatico delle Musiche that led to Termoli Jazz big artists as Joe Lovano, Lee Konitz, Charlie Haden, Steve Swallow, Maria Pia De Vito, Franco D’Andrea, John Surman, Eddie Gomez, Gerald Clayton, Hiromi, Rosario Giuliani, Joe Locke, John Taylor and many others. The Termoli Jazz from Manhattan Transfer, Tord Gustavsen, Rossana Casale, Fabrizio Bosso, Flavio Boltro, John Patitucci, Stefano Di Battista to Tortured Soul, Nikitch & Kuna Maze, Luca Aquino, Giovanni Guidi.
The Termoli Jazz has always sought new languages that “touch” the afro american music and by osmosis the draw revitalizing lymph from them. As it was for bossa nova, the freejazz or the jazzrock, the result of mixtures between jazz and other influences, so hip hop, elettronica, funk e soul are “updating” jazz, keeping it as the most current, contemporary and vital music in all genres. At the end, as like jazz, not even the Termoli Jazz can be described with a single definition. The Termoli Jazz is jazz.
